Sectors

Early Contractor Involvement

Construction input during design and pricing, before the project is fully documented or tendered.

Early Contractor Involvement (ECI)

Construction input brought in while the design is still developing.

We work alongside your consultants on buildability, sequencing, procurement and cost, so decisions are made with a clearer view of how the work will be built.

What we consider

01

Buildability review

We look at the drawings with construction in mind: access, existing conditions, sequencing and services.

02

Cost and programme input

Pricing and programme feedback during design, while there is still time to adjust the approach.

03

Procurement planning

Long-lead items, trade packages and site requirements are considered before the works are priced in full.

04

A path into delivery

Depending on the agreement, ECI can lead into a construction contract with the same team carrying the knowledge forward.
